The Locations and Unidentified subseries, 1905-1926, 1938 and undated, contains images of locations, such as Marx Detlev Hauberg's farm, that are significant to the family, and unlabeled images that could not be identified.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The Church Activities and Churches subseries, 1905-1920 and undated, includes images of some of Hauberg's activities with the 7th Street Lutheran Church's Sunday school, and several images of a parade put on by local Sunday schools. Also included are images of local churches.

The Local series, 1889-1936 and undated, comprises images of various locations within a twenty-mile radius of Rock Island, Illinois. Predominant are images of landscapes, farms, and street scenes.

Scope and Contents From the Series:

The Black Hawk Hiking Club series, 1920-1939 and undated, consists of images of various hike activities, such as cooking over a campfire and making camp, and images of various locations from local and Big Hikes. Most notable are an image of the club's very first hike and its Big Hikes to the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls, Colorado and Mexico. Also included are several images depicting lyrics to the club's songs.

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The John Hauberg subseries, 1889-1929 and undated, contains images of Hauberg and his nuclear family, including his parents (Marx Detlev Hauberg and Anna Margaret Frels Hauberg), his wife, Susanne (and her companion, referred to only as Tante Mina), and his children, Catherine Denkmann Hauberg and John Henry Hauberg Jr. The children are sometimes pictured with their nurses, Miss Ross and Miss Vogt.

The Asia subseries, 1924 and undated, consists of images of Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey. Predominant are images of religious sites in Israel and Palestine.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The William D. Edmondson papers, 1896-2006 and undated, has been arranged into two series: Texts and Artifacts. Texts, 1948-2006 includes documents about the collection itself, letters written by Edmondson to archival staff, and articles about memorabilia, collecting, or election trivia. Also included are photocopies of the titles pages of the books Edmondson donated to Special Collections.Artifacts, 1896-2004 and undated has been arranged into nine subseries....

Scope and Contents From the Sub-Series:

The Europe subseries, 1900-1901, 1912-1913, 1924-1929 and undated, consists of images of Hauberg's three trips to Europe. The majority of images are of Germany, focusing on the Haubergs' ancestral home in Schleswig-Holstein. Also featured are Hauberg's ascent of Jungfrau in Switzerland, the battlefields near Verdun, France, and a visit to England.

The Unidentified subseries, undated, includes images that appear to have been taken within the United States, but could not be identified. Some of the images may belong in the Black Hawk Hiking Club series.
